I got a question that somebody can help me with... I have gotten a PowerStack DT604-100 machine, thats a RISC processor machine. But I have a problem now finding a system for it. Its really special I guess because Motorola did not go mainstream with them. Anyway, I have a question about, which AIX version still works at these machines. Their architecture is called PReP, therefore the system should be for PReP. I found that Debian Linux works with them. If anybody had a business with these machines, can you please help me...
OK, that's what I remember, 1995 is almost ten years ago, quite a long time in computer life.
I remember that this system also had a Windows NT4, and a multi-boot option if you have two disks.
The problem is that I don't know where to get Win NT 4 either, really hard to get old software. As I understood people told me correct stuff, only AIX 4.1.0 - 4.1.4 and older were working for this platform, do you know, maybe somebody has ISO's because I cannot find it.
I alread saw something as stupid as that problem. You have to a buy software licence specifically for each system on which you install it. And you cannot buy any more software for very old plattform. So, are not allowed to borrow the software from somebody else, and you cannot buy it any more from IBM.
