AIX newb
Hello everybody,

Like the title said, i am new to AIX, i have a couple years of Linux experience and i consider myself a moderate user.

I just installed AIX 5.2 on a 43p pseries and well, i wanna become an AIX guru someday. Where should i begin? I looked at some books and online doc (aix 5L administration by Randal k. Michael) but i think its a little bit too advanced for my skills atm. I troll this forum a lot but most of the time i have no clue what you guys are talking about. My Q would be: If i am brand new to AIX, where can i get doc for dummies-like documentation? IBM? Amateur website? forums?

Maybe start here - try the "Library" link.

A good website/forum for AIX is pSeriesTech.Org

You can ask questions there are be reasonably sure of getting good, quality responses.

IBM Redbooks is the place to go
Go to the IBM Redbooks site and you will find a slew of AIX related books including IBM's official study guides for AIX support and systems administration
