New install. Wi-Fi setup problems

Hi.
I'm a new user, exploring potential use of M4Linux on an older computer.

Installation went alright, but I'm stuck with Wifi setup.I have an usb adapter which is recognized by the os, but I cannot set it up to connect to my wireless network.
Netconfig doesn't resolve the problem.
I found in one of the earlier postings a ref to wpa-gui, and that seems to have problems too.

root@4MLinux:~$ wpa_gui
wpa-gui: /usr/lib/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5.13' not found (required by wpa-gui)
root@4MLinux:~$ netconfig
root@4MLinux:~$ connect

A web search for "RTL8191SU 802 linux" turns up a number of articles that look to be helpful. I did not feel competent to single out one of them.
