Modern video encoding in 4MLinux
Hi,
4MLinux 26.0 (to be released at the beginning of September 2018) will come with full support for VP8/VP9/AVC/HEVC video encoding.
I was having a really good time trying to write modern presets for quite old Hyper Video Converter:

Encoding with MEncoder.
After many hours, I was finally able to compile legacy version of MEncoder and to force it to produce YouTube-like video formats.
Install MEncoder: Menu > Extensions > MediaApps > Players > MPlayer
Go to Menu > Multimedia > Let’s edit > HyperVC
Right click on Manage Profiles and choose mencoder.
Available presets:
AVI for web -- 360p
AVI for web -- 480p
AVI for web -- 720p
AVI for web -- 1080p
FLV for web -- 360p
FLV for web -- 480p
FLV for web -- 720p
FLV for web -- 1080p
MP4 for web -- 360p
MP4 for web -- 480p
MP4 for web -- 720p
MP4 for web -- 1080p
WebM for web -- 360p
WebM for web -- 480p
WebM for web -- 720p
WebM for web -- 1080p
Note:
These are (rather simple) old-school presets: constant bitrates with resultant video quality.

Encoding with ffmpeg2theora.
Go to Menu > Multimedia > Let’s edit > HyperVC
Right click on Manage Profiles and choose ffmpeg2theora
Hyper Video Converter makes it possible to easily adjust various settings for your Theora/Vorbis OGG videos.
