Lost password

This post is to answer the question asked here today:
http://4mlinux.blogspot.com/2013/01/...27569066483627

Let's say that your 4MLinux is installed on /dev/sda1. Boot the 4MLinux live CD or USB. Open terminal and execute:

Code:

cd /mnt/sda1
rm etc/*

Now boot 4MLinux from your hard disk drive. 4MLinux will say "Oh my God !" and it will repair itself within a few seconds :-) You will be asked for a new password.

WARNING:
4MLinux is the only distro, which will survive the "rm /etc/*" command executed by root. Do not try it unless you are running 4MLinux.

isn't the 'cd' command pointless here, since you're giving an absolute path to the 'rm' command???
