How to use USB-stick / smartphone?

Hi

I connect a USB-flash-stick or a smartphone via cable to the laptop running 4M v4.14.25
I want to move files between laptop and these devices.

When clicking the "Mount/Unmount" icon in taskbar a dialogbox appears:
"Error: No removeable drives found."

The cable and usb-sticks / smartphone work on other computers, with windows and ubuntu.

Try mounting them from the command line. You may get more helpful error messages.

If you do, post them here, being sure to surround the output of any commands with "code" tags, which become available when you click the "Go Advanced" button beneath the compose post window.

Hi,

Update your 4MLinux by executing the "zk update" command. Do not add the "startx" command to the autostart.sh script, but edit the /etc/startx.conf file instead.

PS.
I have no problem with my USB devices. However, the latest 4MLinux comes with:
- new version of mount daemon that may work better for you,
- proper way to disable login screen (which used to be important for you).
