Although my own attempt at replacing WordPress by Zola is stalling now (for technical reasons), I still prefer Zola from the list - it is a very nice package with a great feature set.

I used to roll my own using perl, so having a pre-packaged generator with clear documentation and rules is handy. My preferred is Jekyll, but that is likely because it closely resembles many of the design choices I made in my own generator.
