Why isn't Pidgin a option? It clearly has a irc addon

I do use hexchat sometimes, but lately I also tend to use element for irc. It's not really an irc client, but they have a bridge built in to most irc networks I am likely to use... but I guess that doesn't count as an actual irc client.
