REAPER has replaced Audacity for me and rightfully so. Admittedly, it is less of a "free" product than some others, but it is very worth every resource. Good job, ex-Nullsoft!

I produce music on Audacity and it works great for the simple things I do.

Mixbus32C for me, which is also a little vote for Ardour which I also use and support, and is the basis for Mixbus.

Why is it omitted?

I don't use any of those programs. I only use Audacity v2.4.2.

Audacity is my go to across 3 platforms for years now.
If you know it well, its abilities are incredible for music recording
and audio editing. The little tool that does a lot for its size.

Question

I take it that Audacity is not being added.

Audacity also gets my "audacious" vote. Although there is some question whether it fully qualifies as a "DAW," that depends on your definition and your exact needs. It is a thoroughly professional and full-featured piece of software, rock stable, that can be and has been used for professional work. Runs on everything. "Recommended without hesitation." Extremely good at what it does.

Muse will probably get less votes due to recent-ish drama.
