@Knightron Why don't you use virtualization, i.e. Windows in a virtual machine?

Agree. I did that because we have 'one' application that my wife really likes (Broderbund PrintShop)that only runs on Windows. Problem is solved for the few times she runs it. Not clear how moving to MAC OS solved your problem.

I voted Debian. FreeBSD and Kali Linux desktop OS poll pariah found here only on caste member laptops.

Debian now considered in community commentary to be as hard to use as FreeBSD was once said to be by the same sneering smartphone spoiled slackers.

Kali Linux not considered to be suited for use a desktop OS, not unlike FreeBSD, and the scapegoat snickering naysayers nearby nix nowadays.

Slackware, almost

3 short (Needed 3 less Ubu)

With all the DW_review discussion, I thought for sure that all the Slackers (300 today!) would show up

I have tried many distros, and I mean many. Landed on Slackware, it's comfy and enjoyable to use but it's not something I would recommend for everyone.
