I use a custom built HP ZBook, I really like the way HP offers custom built PC's, Workstations and laptops, so they really match my prefered configuration. HP is not on this list.
I know that these are more expensive than mainstream, but 1. My boss pays, 2 I use them for more than 6 years, so the price per year isn't much higher than when I would use a mainstream laptop.

They're not on the list because they offer linux on so few of their machines. Even smaller selection of their machines is available with Linux pre-installed than it is with Dell. Ergo - Linux compatible hardware vendor, but NOT a linux laptop/desktop vendor.
