I'll agree. Yeah, it's just a frontend, but it's the frontend that makes mplayer/mpv usable IMO. Without smplyer as the frontend, I abandon mplayer/mpv to go to VLC.

Still mplayer, (or mpv), but I'll use VLC if it is the distro default.

I use VLC for playing back video/audio files.

I use Kaffeine for digital TV. Why? Because it's easy to setup Kaffeine for digital TV.

But since you can only vote for one thing, I voted VLC.

mpv - low resource usage is the most important thing for playing videos.

I'm surprised mplayer2 is on the poll. It's so dead that its homepage is now a spam site. Anyone interested in it (and its work as an MPlayer fork) would have moved to MPV years ago anyway.
