st(1) designed for use with ed(1) and nasm(1).
also whatever plan9 uses, though I dislike the up-arrow functionality.

My Linux-Mint default terminal is xfce4-terminal and is quite satisfactory. Being older, I have changed font size to be more readable and altered font colors to more match my preferences.

It's not on the list.
