Yes, I am running Armbian. However, even on Armbian, I still found that DVD-resolution videos lagged.

Too bad OSMC is not ported like it is for the Pi.

that pretty much sums up the problems with ARM SBCs and Linux - often GPU support is sub-optimal and destroys the whole UX.

there's a poster here on LQ who makes reviews focusing on overall performance & media for SBCs, check out his threads.
