K8 is a cluster manager to deploy and scale containers (more akin to swarm) so doesn't fit in this category, which contains container applications.

rkt tries to fix some old Docker design and security problems, and I enjoyed using it a lot. It even uses a shell script instead of the limited Dockerfile. But Docker is integrated in many places nowadays so, in the end, I use mostly Docker. Docker is pretty good itself.
