Only one I occassionaly use is SpaceFM. Yet hard to give it "of the year" when maintainer has abondoned both it and Linux over the SystemD debacle. But, as it is the _only_ one I use even occassionally ....

Meh, I guess I should really weigh in with a "Just use Emacs" here. Dired for the win

The original emelfm is still my favourite, but I no longer can get it to work. I never did care for the updated emelfm2. So, I use pcmanfm now.

ETA: Okay, I did get emelfm to successfully run on my system. But, it's not in the choices, so my second favourite gets the vote.

Meh, I don't really know what to say for this one.

I voted for Konqueror since it's the only one that's of use to me AT ALL, since it works (rather poorly, but it works) with libmtp to let me access files on my Samsung Android smartphone. Don't get me started on how ridiculous it is that I can't easily use LINUX to mount a LINUX-based Android device as a standard mass storage device, but I digress (as is my wont).

But for 99% of file management tasks, I use the shell, which is the best file manager of all IMHO.

I use Dolphin and am very happy with it.

FYI Eagle Mode contains a file manager. I don't use it but I think I'll give it a try.

Hi Guys,

You should really try CNC.

It is a clone of the famous NC for Linux, Mac and Windows.
It is quite similar to NC and has got more features, mostly for creating pdf, merging pdfs, files,... It features tabs. It encrypts files, uses md5,enc,... There are cncview and cncedit, which are included in the box as well. There is a great number of settings, so that you can customize with the menu the scheme, displayed information, columns,... in the way you like.
