MariaDB vote

I vote for MariaDB. In fact is being adopted by important entities as Fedora or Wikipedia

Firebird needs a C (not C++) API that doesn't suck.

I'd like to vote for FirebirdSQL but can't because it says I have to register. What am I doing wrong? (Waited for some time so it is not caching, have posted in the New Members forum, love the linux kernel :D, and much more) [Edit: never mind, it just worked now]

PS: FirebirdSQL is super fast for small and for huge databases and it actually complies with the SQL standard (which MySQL doesn't...). Also you can use it in enterprise applications without having to buy any Oracle licenses for the DB connectors ;-)

MariaDB is very promising.
btw, this poll should be titled Relational-Database of the year.

Coleburn 02-02-2013 11:08 AM

+1 for MariaDB!

Good point. Or even more correct: Relational Database Management System of the year. After all, it's not about databases, but about the software that manages them.

Cheers!
Paul Vinkenoog, staying with Firebird

I can not vote

Why I can't vote, I don't see the radio button.
Anyway, I vote Firebird.

Regards.

Near the top of the page, just above the forum messages, you should see the candidate list. If there are no radio buttons, then you probably have already voted. In that case, you should also see the text "Thank you for voting" above the candidate list.
