I prefer xfce, but KDE gets occasional use as well
|
I'm using KDE, so I guess it gets my vote.

I voted for KDE but Xfce 4.8 is also really nice.
|
Voted for KDE. I also like the way of working with Unity on mobile plattforms, for e. g. Notebooks, Netbooks, ...
|
I've used Xfce even before the Gnome 3/Unity flop.
|
LXDE is my new favorite.

Gnome 2
Gnome 3 is pushing me to LXDE |
Why isn't gnome 2 separate from gnome shell the old gnome is a VERY different beast to the awful gnome-shell and reaaly should be considered a distinct DE, so I voted for xfce instead!

This is a difficult one. I love Gnome 2. I intensely dislike the Unity and Gnome 3 desktops. Between Unity and Gnome 3 I think Gnome 3 is slightly better. KDE is not too bad, prefer Gnome 2 though. I have chosen Gnome Shell. If Gnome 2 had been in the list I would have it.

XFCE is a really good alternative for a gnome2 orphean like me. Fully and easyly customisable (even more than what I was used to in Gnome2 !!!)..
And if I don't want to look for my menus outside the window I use, or to look for the close button also not very user friendly inside the top unity panel... XFCE don't change my habbits. |
Gnome3 belongs in the "Abomination of the Year" category! I like Xfce, but MATE gets my vote. If I liked Mint more, I'd be using it.
