Wow! I thought this one would come down to git, hg, Bazaar, and maybe svn as an also ran. I am quite surprised indeed to see such a huge gap between git and hg.

It's not so much that that amazed me, as the continued relative strength of subversion and cvs (!). CVS outpolled hg 2:1?!? I get inertia but, still. Even when I use svn, I'm using it through 'git svn' and would never vote for svn. Git drives me up a wall sometimes but there's simply no comparison or contest when it comes to git and svn and probably any dvcs vs. cvcs. I thought everyone was switching to git just because it was trendy or a new toy but, having used it, it got my vote.
