Caine

I had been using SystemRescueCD for years, but tried CAINE and now use it all the time. The only drawback is how long it takes to boot to the graphical interface, but the tools I use are all there.

I'm sure you could but http://multidistro.com/deb/rezcu/packages.txt shows a tool / eyecandy package ratio of about 1 / 50. I'd favour usable tools over any amount of bling bling desktops and media apps though.

I voted HELIX (the free version) as that's what I use most.

SystemRescueCD is simply awesome!

If there is IPCop, then untangle, and endian community as well could make it here in the list.

Count another one for backtrack. I've used it a couple of times, and I'm sure there's still much to learn about all the tools it includes.
