Welcome to the 2005 LinuxQuestions.org Members Choice Awards
The polls will be open very soon! Vote for your favorite applications of the year. Have fun and good luck to all the nominees. Remember, if you don't see your favorite choice listed you should suggest it in the thread.

Where is the "poll" Do you want everyone to post there picks?
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...splay.php?f=69 is the forum containing all the various choices - if any of the polls are missing programs (in your opinion, that is) suggest it in that thread.
It just says thanks for voting but I don't see a poll, I hope I'm not going blind or dumb err.
You don't see the totals util the very end. That way we don't get complaints part way through that there are too many votes for <option> and it's also a surprise in March.
...but I never voted and it says I did...?
I think we need someone to oversee this election;

Surely I am missing something obvious, but I can't find where to vote.
When I click Xavier's link, I go here... http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...splay.php?f=69 I get a list of 21 threads. I am the only active user. Click reload repeatedly over several minutes, I am always the only active user. (But the number of "Views" changed.) Is this strange? Feels like I have my own private page at Linuxquestions! There are no choices for voting. I click on the first poll thread, "Shell of the Year". I am sent here... http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=409059 It says "Thank you for Voting on this poll. The results will be announced shortly!" There are no choices for voting. ... But what is really strange, is this... if I go up to the top of the page to which I was sent... http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...splay.php?f=69 and right click on the forum path "LinuxQuestions.org>Forums>LinuxQuestions.org" and open it in a new tab, I am sent here... http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...splay.php?f=49 where it says this at the bottom... "Forum is Closed for Posting" So, the forum to which I was sent I think is closed. Where is the open forum for voting? I probably am looking right over it. Please help a blind man see! |
Have you tried clearing your cookies and logging out, then back in again? It all works fine for me.
cleared my cookies, but still no dice...:confused:
Using Epiphany, Mozilla, Galeon, and Firefox on Slackware ...
No voting choices - just thanks me for voting when I never voted. |
The polls weren't open yet, as my first post indicated. They are open now - have fun!
