in that case, i'm very surprised that you weren't aware that you can easily install plugins such as red eye removal and many others...including photoshop ones.

Sodipodi is an excellent application, true. However it lacks some of the functionality Inkscape provides, which makes Inkscape have an edge over it.

I didn't know that because I have never heard that before. I don't have time to read the entire documentation for one little tidbit. I guess I must, though, because it will make my expierience with GIMP easier. Where in the documentation does it say that about the Photoshop filters?

I gimp around a lot, I have heard good things abt inkscape. But i'am learning blender now, so it forms my world these days. I voted for it.

If only Krita was not part of KOffice and would try to become different from 'Gimp looking as Photoshop'!

Gimp is just good.

Why is that a problem ? It's just a lib dependency, you don't need to have all of koffice installed on your computer to use krita.

On that point, we are open to any suggestions, tell us what your opinion or wishes on our mailing list : kimageshop@kde.org, and we will see what we can do about it.

Oh, I wonder if you will read this (its been long since I posted), but no that plugin is not just for GIMP 1.x, I installed it for my friend who uses it with GIMP 2.x, just read the description.

Why isnt Pixel on this list? It tops every one of these without question!
