Bases on an old favorite of mine, blackbox. I used bb for over a year at one time and really only changed out of curiosity to try something totally different (that's probably what got me into Linux in the first place ;-) ). Use ratpoison and occasionally wmi and ion. When I want something more "guified", I use XFCE4.2 beta.
