I love Knoppix. I've got a Live CD at my office, in my apartment, and in my laptop bag. It's a lifesaver -- J.W.

Oops this is embarrassing. I always thought Yoper *was* a live CD distro, a friend of mine gave me the CD a while ago and said "here, this is like KNOPPIX but based in NZ." I tried it but my computer kept restarting before it got anywhere ('cos my processor's to slow probably), so I kept believing it was a live CD until just now.

Yoper is a good distro though, I used it for a while, but the apt repositories were not always reliable. i am impressed though at the number of packages that are now available for it.

Knoppix

I said KNOPPIX for those from the list, but I would have probably chosen either JDS live or SuSE 9.1 live...

I didn't like SuSE 9.2 live because OpenOffice was broken on it.. other that it was fine..
