it's all EMACS. honestly. i hate to use a mouse. and where it's just so easy to do anything. i do my matlab, latex, java, c++, and web dev in it. it's fantastic.

Vim is Great, I depend a lot on it.
But I voted for Kate the best X editor :-).
Kate's features and capabilities make a it a fun to write programs.

Experience the fun of using Kate as your editor.

I agree - Scite is very good. I use it when in X, and vim when running console.
