I don't know why I feel compelled to post on this already closed poll, but I do

I originally voted for emacs which I was just really getting the hang of. Then one day (because of this poll) I decided to see what Kate was all about as it was getting a fair amount of votes. I think Kate is the absolute best editor I have used in any operating system! Its native syntax highlighting, feature filled search & replace function, and the combined terminal editor make it my hands down #1 choice at this time. I have also been playing around with jedit, but Kate's term emulator keeps me comming back. It just makes it so damn easy to constantly test scripts-in-progress without having to focus on another window.
