Will Grub legacy or Grub 1.9 find PCBSD?

On my multi boot system I consider to install PCBSD.
I am testing much distributions and sometimes I have Grub legacy installed into the MBR, sometimes Grub 1.9. Now I want to install BSD on a primary partition, file system xfs possible? I suppose, because I have multiboot, I have to install the boot loader (which one by default?) into the mentioned primary partition. Will both Grub versions find the installation?

GRUB1 and GRUB 1.9 will successfully boot PC-BSD when its installed on UFS2 filesystem.

PC-BSD can be also installed purely on ZFS, and that GRUB1 or GRUB 1.9 will not be able to boot.

ZFS boot support has been added to GRUB 1.99, and lately there was GRUB 2.0 release which also is ablo to boot from ZFS, but is it able to boot FreeBSD or PC-BSD off of ZFS ... I do not know.

Thank you!
After having tested it, I decided not to install it.
