ssh randomly generated key

i was wondering if someone knows where i can find some documentation on ssh encryption types and possibly libraries to hand ssh encryption given a randomly generated key?
cuz i looked in alot of places like libssl and libcrypto and but havent found something that i could use..maybe someone where i can find somethink useful?
