Newbie: FreeBSD 8.1 Wireless Help

Hi,

I'm a rookie at this and I've just installed FreeBSD 8.1 and I am have difficulties getting my wireless to work.

Here's the low-down:

My wireless card is Intel Pro Wireless 2200. I followed the manual and man page for iwi with no luck at all.

Here is my loader.conf:

Code:

if_iwi_load="YES"
legal.intel_iwi.license_ack=1
if_iwifw_load="YES"
wlan_wep_load="YES"
My rc.conf:

Code:
hostname="bsd.home.net"
wlans_iwi0="wlan0"
ifconfig_wlan0="ssid ***** channel 6 wepmode on weptxkey 1 wepkey ******* DHCP"
I've reconfigured my rc.conf about a dozen times. I started out just putting my ssid and my wepkey. Then I added DHCP, then I added channel. I've even tried assigning an ip address (got rid of DHCP).

This is what my ifconifg looks like:

Code:
iwi0: flages=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 2290
           ether 00:0e:35:f7:83:6b
           media: IEEE 802.11 Wireless Ethernet autoselect mode 11g
           status: associated

wlan0:flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500
         ether 00:0e:35:f7:83:6b
         inet 0.0.0.0 netmask 0xff000000 broadcast 255.255.255.255
         media: IEEE 802.11 Wireless Ethernet autoselect mode 11g
         status: associated
         ssid **** channel 6 (2437 MHz 11g) bssid *********
         country US authmode OPEN privacy ON deftxkey 1 wepkey 1:104bit
         txpower 0 bmiss 24 scanvalid 60 protmode CTS wme
Also I seem to get these errors when I boot:

Code:
iwi0: need multicast update callback
ifa_add_loopback_root: insertion failed
No DHCPOFFERS received
No working leases in persistend database -sleeping.
I don't know if I missed something or what but I've been banging my head trying to figure this out for the past few days. So, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

-Gio

I know it is a different forum, but I have posted on the FreeBSD forum and they are very good at things like this. It is located here:
