how to uninstall MySQL?

Hi, i need help.

I'm trying to uninstall mysql from my FreeBSD 4.3, how can I do it??
I don't know the package manager that FreeBSD has.

I have experience with other Unix-like systems, like fedora, ubuntu and slackware.

thanks in advance.

Fedora, Ubuntu and Slackware are all Linux - not UNIX. *BSD, Solaris, SunOS, HP-UX, ..., those are UNIX.

Slackware would provide the best general idea of what you're looking to do, in terms of similarity.

HOWEVER, I believe the command to remove a package is "pkg_remove [package name]" (or something to that effect). Make the FreeBSD Handbook your friend.

So someone wanted to put it from source and not from ports, not very wise, you will have to download sources for that mysql and check makefile in install section where these files are installed, or maybe someone put it in /usr/local/mysql, that would be lucky for you.
