If you have specific questions, please post them in text form.

First, you need to do some reading. Start with the email that Theo left you in your root account. Just login as root, type "mail" and hit return on the "Welcome to OpenBSD 5.1" mail. "man afterboot" is a good man-page to read. Then go read the FAQ. OpenBSD documentation is really good.

If you're just starting, there's really no need to try to build the system or ports from source. Almost everything you want or need is just a "pkg_add" command away.

Hope this helps get you started.

If the Op could post a copy of his dmesg (as detailed in that welcome email) then that would be useful. If he has internet connectivity and cannot access the CD it should be possible with some configuration to pkg_add from one of the OpenBSD mirrors.
