put the command you use to start it, in a file(executable) in the directory /usr/local/etc/rc.d.

cd /usr/local/etc/rc.d;
echo mysqlStartupCommand --parameters_I_Use >;
chmod +x

and add mysql_enable="YES" in the /etc/rc.conf

I'm very curious about how freeBSD could read something_enable in /etc/rc.conf and then go to the /usr/local/etc/rc.d/ and start ? Any relation about something and somescript ?

Give me more about it , mrcheeks .
Thank in advance
