I'm going to compile JDK 1.4 on FreeBSD 5.4 and there some problem :
First off all , I'm upgrate all my ports , going to /usr/ports/java/jdk14 and run make , it tell me to download some pakage , most of them was fine but suddenly it tell me that the j2sdk-1.4.2_07-linux-i586.bin does'nt exist in /usr/ports/distfiles and tell me going to the sun's site to get it .

But unfortunaterly , there only j2sdk-1.4.2_08-linux-i586.bin on the sun' site and I could not find out the j2sdk-1.4.2_07-linux-i586.bin .

I renamed the j2sdk-1.4.2_08-linux-i586.bin to the j2sdk-1.4.2_07-linux-i586.bin but it not effect .

So please , if someone have that parket or have the way to solve the problem, give me some help

I got it (JDK 1.4.2_07 ) by google with the "java download archive" keywork , anyway I think that the freeBSD team could consider this problem

A newer version works fine so long as you put it in, /usr/src/distributions, I think. I cannot be for sure as I am not in frony of a FreeBSD box. I just did this same thing.
