your opinions please
in your most honest opinions would you tell a friend which way to go?
Ive been stuck on having to use windows because i really dont have the time that it takes to reconfigure my laptop for the use of wireless drivers , I work on the road so i have to be able to login remotely all the time and with the linux and not being able to properly configure the drivers for the wireless card my question is ? will i have the same problems using bsd Thanks for any help |

Did you try installing the drivers from your manufacturer's website or cdrom? You can use a tool called ndisgen which is similar to ndiswrapper on linux.

Thanks for the advise, I ended up with ubuntu 6.10 and a lot of head banging and got the wireless cards working on bcm4311, now i have to figure out how to increase the speed ,its stuck on 11mbs
