[SOLVED] XFCE desktop icon themes are broken

hi,

my XFCE desktop's icon theme are broken, in the places of the graphic symbols, they all shown red X. the icons on the task bar are missing as well.

I've updated from FreeBSD 10.1 to 10.2, reinstalled QT4, installed QT5, and reinstalled XFCE. None of them seems to fix the problem.

I'm using FreeBSD 10.2.

any suggestion?

xfce is gtk not qt based you may need to install a gtk theme and then select it in the prefs

the problem was with freebsd's 'pkg install', it seems that when i installed a package (stellarium), pkg doesn't pull in all the dependencies, and it broke xfce theme in the process.

I used command 'pkg upgrade' to pull in all the needed dependencies. after that, xfce theme is back to normal.
