X Resolution problem

Hi,
I just changed from xfce4 to fluxbox and want to change my default resolution. In XFCE4 I could, through the panel, change my resoultion to 1024x768 and 65 Refresh, but in fluxbox I have no such luck and am right now stuck in 1280x960.

I tried altering my /etc/X11/xorg.conf a litle bit:
http://pastebin.com/636169

but that didn't work, does anyone what is wrong with that xorg.conf and how i woudl change the default resolution to 1024x768.

Thanks
HLarsson

I would say all you should need to do to default to 1024x768 is remove the "1280x960" part from your Screen Section.

So from this:
Code:
#
Section "Screen"
        Identifier "Screen0"
        Device "Card0"
        Monitor "Monitor0"

        ...

        SubSection "Display"
                Viewport 0 0
                Depth 24
                Modes "1280x960" "1024x768" "832x624" "800x600" "640x480" "416x312" "400x300"
                Virtual 1024 768
        EndSubSection
EndSection
To This:

Code:
#
Section "Screen"
        Identifier "Screen0"
        Device "Card0"
        Monitor "Monitor0"

        ...

        SubSection "Display"
                Viewport 0 0
                Depth 24
                Modes "1024x768" "832x624" "800x600" "640x480" "416x312" "400x300"
                Virtual 1024 768
        EndSubSection
EndSection
If you want to be able to switch between the two resolutions without editing your xorg.conf file, if your distro supports it you can just leave the "1280x960" in the file, and switch using "CTRL ALT +" and "CTRL ALT -".

You can also use "xrandr" from the command line. Type it and it will show possible resolutions, type "xrandr -s 1024x768" and it will set the resolution for you.
