which bsd to choose
 
i have been looking at the bsd's and i like freebsd. i would like to know which freebsd version that is the latest and would be considered "stable" and not like beta or something. also if u like a certain bsd please tell which one and why!

4.11 is mature and fast(est).

just noticed......... 4.11 IS the latest..................... guess i will go with that one.............

i was looking it in order of numbers and not release dates

4.11 being fastest is debatable. It's probably fastest on a single CPU system, but on a SMP box (or a HTT P4) 5.3 will probably be faster.

Regardless though, NetBSD 2.0 is faster than both at just about everything, and scales better as well.
