Simple problem, not sure how to fix tho.
I just reinstalled Windows Xp on my desktop. And FreeBSD 5.1 RELEASE on my servre box. I am setting up samaba, and want to use swat.
First I renamed the smb.conf.defaul to smb.conf
Then I enabled the start up up scripts in .rc
Then I pico -w /usr/etc/services - Made sure Swat 901 was there.
Then I checked inetd.conf and uncommented swat, to enable it.
I forwarded the 901 port on my router.
I rebooted the FreeBsd box.
For some reason when I try to 192.168.1.XXX:901 it doesn't work? Why Is this. This is driving me nuts!
--- Yes smbd, and Nmbd are running..
