Question security question

I'm in the process of setting up a freeBSD box.. Unfortunately I still have a few programs that I need using windoze so I'm forced to run a dual boot. I hate the thought of even having to go this route. I tried crossover office and no such luck.
I ended up finding a thread in the BSD forums stating you can install a dual boot, but configure wine so that you wouldn't need to boot to windoze. I'm wondering though if there are still security loop holes on the windows end I may need to address? Also is it possible to strip windows down specifically for a dos partition and just run everything through wine?

You mentioned BSD and Windows but no Linux but yet you placed this in Linux - General forum

I didn't know whether to throw this in our BSD forum or General since it seems your asking questions about Windows security but dual booting BSD and Windows.. so it will reside in BSD for now. Please try to place your threads and questions in the most appropiate forums, if its not about Linux and not technical, it goes in General. If it's about BSD, we have a BSD forum, etc.
