Recoving Data from Other Partition

Hey,

I have a dual boot XP and FreeBSD setup. Each is installed to it's own partition on the same drive. Recently my Windows partition crashed for no apparent reason (lol).

There isn't anything CRITICAL on the drive, just some stuff I wouldn't like to see gone.

My question is, is there any way for me to get to that data through FreeBSD which still boots like a charm, or is it locked away for all eternity (or until my next reformat)?

Thanks

PulsarSL

Sure, why not just mount that sucker and copy the files over you need?

mount -t ntfs /dev/ad0s2 /mnt

assuming you're using ntfs and it would be your second partition. Then you could copy everything over.

Ok thanks... I'm a pretty large linux noob. If it's my first partition, i assume it would be ad0s1?

thanks
