Preformatted man pages?
 
Trying FreeBSD for the first time, setting up a minimal installation in VirtualBox. Can someone please explain preformatted man pages to me (catman distribution)? What benefits does it offer? I Googled, but can't find any info on what exactly they are and why one would want them.
