OpenLDAP & freeBSD

Hi folks,
back again, i want to install openLDAP on freeBSD, but i get the folowing message:
Quote:
*** Failed to add an user ldap with id 389.

Please add the ldap user manually with
/usr/sbin/pw useradd -n ldap -g ldap -c 'OpenLDAP server' \
-d /nonexistent -s /sbin/nologin -h -
and retry installing this package.
i tried to add the user manually and it does not work. does this mean that openLDAP is already installed? if yes how can i run and use it?

best regards.
Adil

back again,

i downloaded the openldap-2.4.8.tgz from the openldap website and do this for instalation:
install the Berkeley DB : db46-4.6.21.0.tbz
Quote:
pkg_add db46-4.6.21.0.tbz
then do this

Quote:
$ export CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/include/db46"
$ export LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/lib/db46"
ln -sf /usr/include/db46/db.h /usr/include/db.h
after that, install openldap: openldap-2.4.8.tgz
Quote:
gunzip -c openldap-2.4.8.tgz | tar xvfB –
in the openldap-2.4.8 directory, do this
Quote:
./configure --enable-crypt=yes \
--enable-lmpasswd=yes \
--enable-passwd=yes \
--enable-wrappers=yes \
--enable-perl=yes \
--with-cyrus-sasl=yes \
you can add or delete options, depend on what you need.
Then run
Quote:
make depend
Then run
Quote:
make
then
Quote:
make install
then
Quote:
THE END
i wish this helps
