OpenBSD: problem iso8859-1 font in Korn shell

Hi

I have a problem using iso8859-1 fonts in Korn shell on OpenBSD (4.7)

I can correcty open a new virtual terminal after using wsfontload and wsconscfg. Typing an accentuated a from the iso8859-1 set works at the login prompt. I have set LC_CTYPE to iso 8859-1.

Now, as soon as I am logged in, it is impossible to use special characters like c-cedilla or accentuated a in the shell. ksh either beeps or displays a different character. When I cat a text with special characters however, it is displayed correctly.

When I start up tcsh or vi, the problem disappears. The environment variables are the same as what I see in ksh.

wsconsctl shows a keyboard.map which is slightly wrong, but even those special characters in it, which are correct, do not return the right character in ksh.

Where do I have to look to solve this ?

Thx for your tips
