Multi-OS (Linux + Unix) Question

Hello guys! I am a Linux user, and I would like to use a *BSD system. I have the following partition table at one of my HDs (80Gb):

/dev/hdc1 - Linux /boot partition
/dev/hdc2 - Linux SWAP - 512Mb
/dev/hdc3 - Linux SWAP - 512Mb
/dev/hdc4 - Linux Extended (occupying the rest of the HD)

/dev/hdc5 - 25 GB '/' Linux Partition.

As you can see, there is still space left in the Linux Extended Partition allowing me to create more logical partitions.

My questions:

1. Can I create any *BSD logical partition inside the Linux extended?
2. Will my Linux boot manager (like Grub) recognize the BSD partition if it is in beyound the 1024 cyl.?

Thanks for the attention!

You can't install BSDs on a logical partition, you need a free primary partition just like you would for Windows and other operating systems.
