mounting SMB/CIFS shares from FreeBSD
 

Hi all,
I have a lazy question about FreeBSD's native ability to mount SMB/CIFS (e.g., Windows') network shares, namely, can it? OpenBSD comes with Sharity, a userland mounting utility, but as I understand it, it's a bit old (written for Windows NT, not 2000/2003) and it's userland, not kernel based. Linux comes with smbfs/cifs which works very well for me, but I also love the simplicity, quality and stability of OpenBSD, so I'm curious about FreeBSD's interoperability with Windows' net shares. I am required, unfortunately, to interoperate with a Windows file server :-(

Here's the rationale: I use my OpenBSD and Linux boxes to do an on-site nightly backup of a Windows server, so it helps to be able to mount the Windows' shares and rsync them. I can do this with Linux and then rsync between BSD and Linux using ssh and shared keys, but being able to mount the SMB shared directly in *BSD would be even better because then I'd have a fall-back in case the Linux machine or mounts failed for whatever reason.
