Mounting problem

I can only mount the freeBSD 4.7 (the ver i am using) cd. All i type to do this is "mount /cdrom". The problem is that i cannot mount any other cds. I have tried the following syntaxs:
mount -t joliet /dev/acd0c /cdrom
mount -t cd9660 /dev/acd0c /cdrom
mount /cdrom (it does nothing for a bit then gives an i/o error)
They are just regular data cds burnt with nero.Still i have no luck.

Do you have any other non-burnt cd's you can test, could be something with nero not making them hard for Linux to understand them.
