You can use tcpdump for this, but the log files will be *H*U*G*E*. A better solution might be to use more selective logging capabilities provided by iptables. This will require a fairly rudimentary understanding of iptables to set up (assuming BSD uses iptables).

no, BSD does not use iptables....still, one can choose from a variety of firewalls like: pf, ipf, ipfw. myself i use pf on freebsd.
you want to logg traffic...try ntop (it has web frontend) as well as command line options.
