Installation Error ------FREE BSD

Hi
im getting this error when am trying to install Free Bsd 5.4 i think am trying to do a standard Install and the error it gives is
Quote:

No disks found! Please Verify that your disk controller is being properly probed at boot time
and from the error it gives what i can understand is that Free bsd is not able to read My Hard-disk but now how do i fix it?....removing the cd i can run WInxp that means windows is able to read my Hard disk and also it is showing my Hard disk in BIOSbefore starting the Free Bsd installation so what may be the problem Yeah one thing i have chosen the "default boot" when Free bsd starts its installation. If u need anything more please ask me.

Have you turned off *all* PnP options in the BIOS? For starters, what is the exact hardware configuration you are trying to install on?

By chance, is this a drive capable of running with an 80-pin cable, but you are using a 40 pin cable instead?

Ok, that's good. Is this HD set as "master" or is it the slave to a second HD, or other device?

Cheers--
