How can get plugins in my browser.

Hi,

Can someone help me with how to get micromedia flash plugins in my browser.

The only browser I have is konqueror.

Can someone advice if it is ok for online multimedia or I should use a different one.

In this case how can I install a different one.

Thanks,

Ditch that browser. Get Firefox! Firefox has a flash plugin. Once you have Firefox, plugins are easy to install.

Now now. Telling someone to ditch something isn't the way to learn, is it?

If you peruse http://freebsd.kde.org/howtos/konqueror-flash.php you will find instructions on making Flash work in Konqueror. It's the same Flash plugin as used by Firefox... it just takes a small amount of tinkering to make it work in Konq.

Adding new user

Hi ,

I have installed Freebsd 5.

I'm trying to add a new user but have the following the error:

"pw:group 'no' does not exist
" adduser:error: There was an error adding user (comox1).

What can the problem be and file needs to be modified.

Thanks,

Konqueror works fine as a web browser. It is a little slower loading pages than Firefox I think but a bit more stable in my experience.

Flash and Java work in Konqueror just fine. Install java and point the browser to the java executable file. Put the flah player plugin in mozilla's or firefox's plugin folder and then point konquerors config to it.

Settings.....Configure Konqueror......Plugins

There is more to it than that. One must install /ports/www/konqueror-nsplugins as well.

It appears your post should go in a different thread. This on is not about adding users.
