HD geometry..detecting partition size

I've looking for the geometry for my Western Digital 1600JB hardrive but eventhou I looked in the WDC.com site I had no luck. I tried adding a slice from my third partition but eventhough it has about 20 GB it only picks up like 3 GB so when I format the partition where the programs go, it gets full eventhough I have so much space left. Can anyone help.

Additionally what would I put in grub for linux to boot my bsd partition?

Look in the BIOS to get the HDD geometry. It may also be on the label on top of the drive.

As for grub booting *BSD -- that's a closely guarded secret that only the super hackers know.

Where in the bios? I just see the normal options to select which drives to use and what my processor is and my devices but I do not see anywhere in there the disk geometry. It does tell me the entire model number however, WDC WD 1600JB-00BVA0. It's a 160 gig western digital caviar hard drive.
